Code of Conduct of JSCAS

While JSCAS does not have dues or by-laws, we do have an implicit and formal code of conduct by which every member of the club must abide by. We expect you to be civil and considerate in all dealings with the members of the club. In brief: No members or officers are to have any form of conflict of interest with JSCAS. There will be no harassment of any kind tolerated from or toward any member or officers. This includes harassement through personal interaction, private email, or through social media. The term "harassment" covers personal, physical, sexual, and emotional harassment and we have a zero tolerance for it. In the past, JSCAS has had to dismiss members for "conduct unbecoming" and will do so as needed. Many years ago, JSCAS adopted the Fort Bend Astronomy Club's Code of Conduct and Whistleblower policy. They have been tailored for JSCAS and can be found here.
